In this video Trevor and Nathan will be breaking down how a raft is built and common features amongst all raft designs. We will be guiding you through basic boat design and discuss different properties of boats on the market. We will also be looking at the following parts of rafts in detail:

  • Outer chambers of a raft

  • Thwarts and their purpose

  • Raft floors and floor design

We will also be looking at some vocabulary and design elements including d-rings, handles, perimeter lines. Finally, we will be discussing raft shape including diminishing tube vs. standard tube rafts and how these design elements effect how your boat handles on the water.
